The Study: Measuring EMF's Impact on Brain Activity
Partnering with Aspen Neurotherapy and Dr. Jennifer Jones, we delved into the effects of EMF from smartphones on brain activity. Using EEG technology, we measured the brainwaves of individuals with or without an idle smartphone next to their head.
The study was designed to monitor the brainwave patterns of individuals exposed to EMF radiation, particularly from smartphones, which are a constant presence in our daily lives. Using the latest advancements in Electroencephalography (EEG), we measured the frequency of brain waves, with a focus on Beta waves (13-35 Hz) which are often associated with states of stress and anxiety.
What We Found
Our study revealed a clear picture with mind-blowing results :
A drastic increase in Beta and High Beta waves (13-35 hz), associated with stress and anxiety.
By blocking EMF, we see significantly reduced levels of stress and anxiety, back to normal activity.
Just having a smartphone around can lead to increased Beta brainwave activity, which is often linked to stress and anxiety. However, when our participants used the Faraday™ Beanie, these patterns shifted significantly.
The result? A return to normal, baseline levels of brain activity, akin to what you'd experience without any EMF exposure.
The EEG results were quantitatively analyzed using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) algorithms, and the brainwave frequencies were z-scored to represent standard deviations from the mean, providing a clear, objective measure of brain activity.
